Royal Oak in Bloom (May 12) This annual flower and garden sale, held annually on Mother’s Day for the past 30 years, draws visitors to downtown Royal Oak to shop for flowers, plants, landscaping items, and decorative elements for their home. Nearly 70 vendors attend, offering everything from perennials to copper sprinklers, annuals to trees, tomato plants to wind chimes, porch swings to etched stones. This event is designed to help you beautify your outdoor spaces. Music will begin weekly at 5:30pm featuring students of all ages from the Detroit School of Rock & Pop Music. We encourage attendees to grab dinner from one of our downtown restaurants and then grab a drink to go -we’re in the social district! The series will also feature an expanded kids’ area.
